Our Philosophy of Teaching and Learning

For generations, children have been assigned a passive role in education where they are treated as empty vessels that need to be filled by teachers who are possessors of knowledge. However, at our school, we believe in a constructivist approach to teaching and learning. We see children as capable of taking leadership of their own learning journey with the support of a teacher who is a ‘facilitator’ in that learning journey. Our classrooms enable children to co-create their learning with their teacher and take on a more ‘active’ role.
